Alex Flores has returned to the area.
Flores, 40, appeared in court in Randolph County April 6 for the first time since he was charged in 2015 with four counts of theft and one count of passing a bad check.
Set for a preliminary hearing, he arrived in court with his attorney Kacey Eisenhauer of Marion. The two met privately in the courtroom for some time before Eisenhauer emerged to inform State’s Attorney Jeremy Walker that Flores would waive the hearing and the formal reading of the charges.
Judge Richard Brown asked Flores if he understood that the case would proceed to trial, and Flores indicated that he understood.
Brown set a case management conference for May 24 at 10 a.m.
