A quiet morning in Coulterville was interrupted January 4 when a bomb threat was phoned in to the Circle K convenience store in the center of town along East Grant Street.
While nothing came of the threat, it did lead to evacuations of the area, including of the nearby school.
Coulterville Police Chief Jason Schlesinger reported that his department was dispatched at 11:04 by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office because Circle K had received a phone call stating there was a bomb in the building.
