Sparta schools part of Harvard graduate's rural education study

Daniel Rodriguez is no stranger to being a stranger in town.
Rodriguez, 23, is a 2020 Harvard University graduate who recently began working with the Sparta school district as part of a study of rural education.
He didn’t originally plan to conduct this study in Sparta, or even within the United States for that matter.
His plan was to study abroad, likely in a rural village in Spain, but those plans were thwarted by the coronavirus pandemic that closed travel from the United States.
Instead, he looked within his home state.
